The third one in the Daria sarcasm-o-thon marathon. I don't know how much i will make, and it depends on if i will find all the visual of each sarcasm-o-thon introductions.
Even if you didn't see the original, you can easily discover the details and modifications i add.
Awesome artwork. I especially like the appearance of Foamy in the background.
The gradient between shades of blue for the sky works well and contrasts the darker reds and greens in the foreground.
Keep it up.

Bryce... haven't heard of that one. Is that similar to programs like Photoshop, or more like Adobe Fireworks?

Bryce is a 3d landscape software. I using it only for the sky creator, so i have no need for the most recent version and can use a free old version (magazine give it free often).
The best part about Bryce is even a yellow-book-reader can easily made something out of it in less than 30 minutes.

There is a small line between an hobby and a mental illness.
Since you ask for advanced critique: one thing I have noticed is that even though the tip of Daria's nose is drawn quite far down her face (also in the original character design), glasses are always balanced on the bridge of a person's nose and as such there shouldn't be a shadow caused by the link between the two lens' frames.
Even if the frame did cast a shadow (which it has never done in the Daria cartoon), the light source appears to be coming from overhead, due to the radial shading effect on items like the Foamy plush and the flowers, and thus the shadow would be much closer to the frame, rather than being cast down onto the face.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
